HR Generalist

We are seeking an HR Generalist who will use their skill set to partner with the Director of HR to continually improve our systems and structure to foster our values-driven culture and drive business performance.

Location
PayJunction takes a Flex First approach to work environments. This means that our team members can choose to work from our Santa Barbara office or remotely from home. Responsibilities
- Performance Management
- Provide performance management process guidance.
- Support leader in facilitating effective and timely reviews.
- Compensation
- Develop and participate in compensation/benefit surveys to analyze and ensure Payunction’s competitive position.
- Ensure that performance management and pay practices are effective and consistent across the organization.
- Participate in the management and development of benefit programs.
- Employee Engagement
- Administer employee engagement surveys and use data to inform HR priorities.
- Support planning and facilitation of events that promote our culture and values.
- Support the Learning & Development team with identifying training needs for all team members.
- Maintain our best practices for onboarding new team members and be a continual improvement champion.
- Policies, Procedures, and Employee Relations
- Ensure that employee relation issues are managed appropriately.
- Develop, update and implement HR policies and procedures to help us continually reduce HR compliance risk.
- Stay informed on changes to all applicable workplace laws at the local, state, and national level, and ensure the company remains in compliance.
- Be a resource to employees with questions or concerns regarding company policies and practices.
Qualifications
- 3+ year’s experience in an HR Generalist or management role
- 2+ year’s experience at SaaS/Tech companies with 150+ employees
- Bachelor degree in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent education and/or experience. HR certification is a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of HRIS/Payroll systems (Paylocity a plus), and ATS systems (JazzHR a plus)
- Familiarity with all parts of the employee lifecycle.
- Ability to manage sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Exceptional listener and communicator with a commitment to confidentiality and security.
- Highly collaborative with a strong focus on internal customer service.
- Proactive in identifying and taking on new projects
- Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and help with day to day administrative tasks.

The base salary range for this role is $80,000 - 90,000/year plus our Total Reward Benefit package. Actual base salary offered will vary depending on factors including but not limited to: education, experience, skills and qualifications.
